The Trustees are meeting at the beginning of September to consider what fund raising events they can sponsor following the announcement of a grant offer of £130,000 from CADW towards essential repairs to the church: St. Bridget’s will have to find £50,000 to secure this grant, the Friends are pledged to help to the best of their ability.

PLEASE LET US HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS BY EMAIL (friendsofst.bs@btinternet.com) OR THROUGH THE LETTERBOX OF THE OLD SHOP (next to the church) TOGETHER WITH ANY OFFERS OF PRACTICAL HELP.

Suggestions to be considered include:-
Open Gardens and coffee morning early summer
Sara Fulgoni concert – probably not in St. Bridget’s
Sale of Work – prior to Christmas
Poetry Competition
Wine and Cider Tasting
Supper party/get together
Fashion Show
Whist/Canasta/Bridge Drive
Pyramid supper/lunch events

Subscriptions and donations are coming in weekly, as well as some inspired donations; but they are not going to raise anything like the sum required, which is still open-ended.

Please remember the Male Voice Choir concert in the Village Hall on 20th November (tickets from Kath Jasper or from the PCC) and the events organised within h.Art by the PCC – see Church Link.

ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED AND ALL IS NEEDED.
